1. Service Description

PubConvert converts Microsoft Publisher (.pub) files to PDF, DOCX, PPTX, and HTML formats. All file processing occurs entirely within your web browser. No files are uploaded to any server.

2. Conversion Accuracy

PubConvert provides best-effort conversion of Publisher files. While we strive for high fidelity, the Microsoft Publisher file format is proprietary and not publicly documented. Conversion results may differ from the original document.

3. Known Limitations

  • Template gallery assets:Files created from Publisher's built-in templates may reference design elements (backgrounds, clip art, decorative graphics) that are stored in Publisher's local template gallery, not inside the .pub file. These assets are proprietary to Microsoft and cannot be extracted or reproduced by any third-party converter. This is an industry-wide limitation shared by all Publisher conversion tools, including LibreOffice.
  • Complex layouts: Some advanced Publisher features such as mail merge fields, OLE embedded objects, and certain text effects may not convert perfectly.
  • Font availability: Converted documents reference fonts by name. If the original fonts are not available on your system, the output may use substitute fonts.

4. Privacy

Your files are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not have access to your file contents. Conversion results are stored only in your browser's local storage.

5. Credits and Refunds

Conversion credits are consumed when you download a converted file. Because you can preview the conversion result before purchasing, credits are non-refundable. If you encounter a conversion issue, please contact us and we will work with you to resolve it.
